수업 노트
Healthy lifestyle
- Être en bonne santé means to be in good health; manger sainement eat healthily; manger équilibré eat a balanced diet; dormir sleep; se reposer rest. These are language expressions, not a full individual wellbeing plan or a way to judge someone by body shape.
- Dormir suffisamment means sleep enough. The former fixed eight-hour instruction is removed because sleep needs vary with age and individual circumstances. Practice can use imagined speakers; no learner needs to reveal personal routines or follow a numerical prescription.
Wellbeing language
Health problems
- Le tabac is tobacco, l’alcool alcohol and fumer to smoke. Fumer est dangereux pour la santé communicates the general fact that smoking harms health. Le stress names stress; it is not always something a person can simply choose to avoid.
- J’ai mal à la tête and j’ai mal au ventre express headache and stomach pain. Au contracts à plus le, while à la tête keeps à la. Symptom vocabulary does not establish a cause or treatment, and practice should use an imagined speaker rather than request personal health data.
Express pain without a diagnosis
Advice
- Tu devrais plus infinitive expresses you should; il vaut mieux plus infinitive it is better to; je te conseille de plus infinitive I advise you to. Compare the stronger necessity tu dois with the suggestion tu devrais.
- Original language models: Tu devrais te reposer. Il vaut mieux demander de l’aide. Je te conseille de parler à une personne de confiance. These practise grammar; no medicine, calorie target, individual exercise dose or exact sleep duration is prescribed.
Advice constructions
Volunteering
- Le bénévolat is volunteering and être bénévole to be a volunteer. Aider les autres, trier des vêtements and nettoyer la plage mean help others, sort clothes and clean the beach. The examples are fictional and do not require the learner to have held a volunteer role.
- J’ai fait du bénévolat uses avoir plus fait. Ça m’a appris à travailler en équipe states what one imagined speaker learned. If using patient/patiente, match the adjective to the intended speaker; do not assume every experience guarantees skills or that older people all need the same help.
Describe an imagined volunteer experience
Charity events
- Une course caritative is a charity race and une collecte de vêtements a clothes collection. An association’s name or an event title does not show that every action involves donating money. No real donation or registration is requested in this lesson.
- Original notice: Samedi, de 10 h à 12 h, des bénévoles trieront des vêtements au centre associatif. Il faut s’inscrire avant jeudi. Aucun don d’argent n’est demandé. Separate the activity, place, event time and registration deadline; this is not an actual event listing.
Original fictional clothes-sorting notice
International events
- Les Jeux olympiques is the Olympic Games, la Coupe du monde the World Cup and le Tour de France a cycling race. Name the sport if the World Cup context is unclear. J’ai regardé les Jeux olympiques à la télé describes completed viewing, not a current winner or schedule.
- Original viewpoints: Lina liked meeting people; Adam thought there was too much noise. Event experiences can differ. Do not replace the speakers’ evidence with a claim that every international event unites everyone, produces the same benefits or avoids all drawbacks.
International-event vocabulary
The French-speaking world
- Francophone means a person using French or a place where French is used. La francophonie commonly refers to French-speaking people/communities; institutional Francophonie has a related but distinct meaning. Language use, official status and membership are not identical concepts.
- Examples of French-speaking communities occur in Québec, Belgium, Senegal, Switzerland and Morocco, among many others. They do not all have identical language status or one uniform culture; no list implies that every resident uses only French or that communities are absent elsewhere.
Distinguish language and institution
Media
- Les infos is familiar wording for the news in Je regarde les infos à la télé, but can mean information in other contexts. Un journal can mean a newspaper, a news programme in context or a personal journal depending on the construction. Une émission is a broadcast/programme and la presse the press.
- Identify who speaks and where the information comes from. A fictional speaker’s opinion is not a verified claim about a whole country or event; an event name alone does not establish its present date, host or winner.
