Notas de aula
Home
- Ich wohne in einem Haus or in einer Wohnung describes residence with dative in these phrases. Küche kitchen, Wohnzimmer living room, Schlafzimmer bedroom and Badezimmer bathroom name rooms; Garten means garden and Garage garage.
- In meinem Zimmer gibt es ein Bett, einen Schreibtisch und einen Schrank uses existential es gibt with accusative objects. A model room need not be a learner’s actual home; no housing status, family arrangement or private address is required.
Name what the fictional room contains
Prepositions with dative or accusative
- Spatial Wechselpräpositionen include in, auf, unter, über, vor, hinter, neben, zwischen and an. In these spatial models, dative describes location and accusative a destination or new spatial relation: ich spaziere im Park versus ich gehe in den Park. Walking can occur within a dative location.
- The shared original illustration shows das blaue Buch liegt auf dem Tisch, der rote Rucksack steht unter dem Tisch and der gelbe Stuhl steht neben dem Tisch. The picture supports these static locations only, not movement, front/behind positions or a measured floor plan.
Describe visible positions

Town
- Town facilities include Rathaus town hall, Bahnhof railway station, Supermarkt supermarket, Einkaufszentrum shopping centre, Park park, Schwimmbad swimming pool, Kino cinema, Museum museum, Schule school, Kirche church, Bäckerei bakery and Apotheke pharmacy.
- Es gibt einen Park, aber kein Museum states a park exists and a museum does not in this fictional town. A place label does not supply opening times, exact position or services beyond what the text states; Apotheke identifies a facility without prescribing treatment.
Identify the town facility
Directions
- Gehen Sie geradeaus means go straight on, biegen Sie links/rechts ab turn left/right, nehmen Sie die erste Straße links take the first street on the left, and überqueren Sie die Brücke cross the bridge. These use formal Sie.
- Original sequence: gehen Sie geradeaus, biegen Sie rechts ab, der Bahnhof ist links. Preserve the order and the traveller’s viewpoint. The text is a language example rather than a real route; no unseen map, actual distance or road condition is supplied.
Follow the supplied direction order
Where you live
- Das Dorf is village and die Stadt town/city. Auf dem Land means in the countryside in this residence context, am Stadtrand at the outskirts/edge of town, an der Küste at the coast and in den Bergen in the mountains.
- Am Stadtrand is not an exact label for every English suburban area. Ich wohne gern hier gives a preference; an imagined description may name two facilities without revealing a real home or address.
Describe the stated kind of place
Advantages and disadvantages
- Ruhig quiet/calm, laut loud/noisy, sauber clean, verschmutzt polluted, lebendig lively, langweilig boring and gefährlich dangerous describe places in the taught contexts. Laut can mean according to as a preposition elsewhere, so the complete phrase matters.
- Original A likes the countryside weil es hier ruhig ist; original B likes the city weil es hier viele Kinos gibt. These supplied reasons belong to the speakers. Rural places are not all clean or quiet and cities are not all noisy or better served.
Read each speaker’s reason
Weather
- Es ist sonnig/warm/kalt/windig describes sunny/warm/cold/windy conditions; es regnet raining and es schneit snowing. These model phrases identify weather rather than a live forecast or a permanent regional climate.
- Original report: heute regnet es, aber morgen soll es sonnig sein. Rain is stated for today; sunshine is an expectation for tomorrow. Do not convert the expectation into a guaranteed observation or infer weather from the fictional room illustration.
