En avión, en tren, en coche, en barco, en autobús and en bicicleta describe transport; a pie means on foot. At a Spanish train ticket office, billete can mean ticket; other regions also use words such as boleto or pasaje.
De ida is one-way and de ida y vuelta return or round trip. Salida can mean departure or exit, llegada arrival and con retraso delayed. A cancelled journey is cancelado, not merely delayed.

Ask about availability and price
Quisiera reservar una habitación para dos personas is a softened request. Quisiera is formally an imperfect-subjunctive querer form used here for I would like; it does not have the conditional ending of querría.
¿Tiene una habitación libre? asks a receptionist using usted about availability. ¿Cuánto cuesta por noche? asks price per night; ¿El desayuno está incluido? asks about breakfast. Libre means available here, and incluido does not imply the stay is free.
A booking enquiry
Report a problem clearly
He perdido mi pasaporte means I have lost my passport. La habitación estaba sucia reports a dirty room, and el vuelo se canceló reports a cancelled flight; these are invented language examples.
Llovía cuando llegué uses ongoing rain as background to a completed arrival. Llovió todo el día instead presents a completed period of rain; weather does not mechanically require imperfect.
Report the problem stated
Destinations and accommodation
Voy a España, a México, a la playa, a la montaña and al campo show destination phrases. Al contracts a + el; a destination name alone does not describe every feature of the place.
Hotel, albergue juvenil, camping and apartamento de vacaciones are accommodation types. Pensión completa means full board and media pensión half board; actual included meals and services must be established from a specific offer, not invented from a label.
Accommodation terms
Activities and descriptions
Nadar is to swim, tomar el sol to sunbathe, visitar to visit, hacer senderismo to hike, comprar recuerdos to buy souvenirs and descansar to rest. These are language meanings, not recommended activities for every learner.
Conjugate the activity for the account: nadé, visité, hice senderismo. Add an opinion such as fue divertido with appropriate agreement and context; another speaker may have a different view.
Activities: infinitive to completed yo event
Preterite forms and narrative viewpoint
For -ar use -é, -aste, -ó, -amos, -asteis, -aron; for -er/-ir use -í, -iste, -ió, -imos, -isteis, -ieron. Visitamos can be present or preterite, so time and context identify the intended reading.
Useful past forms include fui, hice, vi, estuve and tuve. Ser and ir share the preterite set fui, fuiste, fue, fuimos, fuisteis, fueron; the sentence distinguishes going from being.
Distinguish form and viewpoint
Future plans and wishes
El año que viene voy a ir a Italia uses ir a + infinitive with an explicit later time. Me gustaría visitar otra ciudad expresses a conditional wish rather than a completed past journey.
A speaker may use an invented local or distant plan. Keep the time phrase, person ending and any required link coherent; neither a wish nor a future form proves that a booking exists.
Plans and wishes
An invented itinerary supplies the evidence
El sábado pasado fui a un parque de mi ciudad. Hice senderismo con mis amigos. Fue divertido. The fictional account gives a place, completed activity and opinion without assuming foreign travel.
A written itinerary may supply departure, activity and return times. Read only the provided information; a teaching example is not a current timetable or a real travel offer.
